Myeongjoo Park, The Glass Closet, 2019, Acrylic and Glitters

This artwork is inspired by the Korean television music show that two girls are singing Billie Eilish’s <Wish You Were Gay>. It was so LGBTQ performance, but most Korean people did not realize it because they do not believe that girls love girls. “Closet” is the object that means LGBTQ people who are not coming out yet. I created the glass closet and filled in glitters. It means their opportunities.
